“While the living room on the lower floor exhilerating you with the historic fireplace, the bedroom on the upper floor gives you a comfortable sleep in this peaceful room.”
Provence is a storehouse in the courtyard of TashMahal Alaçatı, which was used to store grapes and food by the Greeks in the past. This stone structure, which is at least as old as the mansion, is now used as a mezzanine room. Its door opens to the unique eagle head mosaic in the garden of TashMahal. In the Provence, one of the most popular rooms with its independent, large and convenient structure and appearance of a fairy tale house, while the living room on the lower floor exhilerating you with the historic fireplace, the bedroom on the upper floor gives you a comfortable sleep.
In France’s Provence region, people were storaging the flowers they collected from lavender fields, in such storehouses before extracting their essences. These storehouses were generally well ventilated with high ceilings and round and high windows called “pigeonholes”, which allowed limited light in order to protect the flowers. We named this room “Provence” because of the similarities in architecture and decoration.
